We are a committed animal welfare organization dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals.
Since our foundation, we have set ourselves the goal of helping animals in need and creating a better future for them.
We work with animal shelters, foster homes and other animal welfare organizations to meet the needs of each individual animal.
From placements in loving families to medical care, we do everything in our power to give every animal a better life.
Our team is made up of experienced animal welfare experts and passionate volunteers who put their heart and soul into their work for the animals.

As a teacher, it is important for me to set a good example.
In order to modernize animal welfare and help even more animals and to combine this with the generation of tomorrow, I founded the Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz association.
In this way, I can leave something good for the world of tomorrow beyond my lifetime.

As a financial planner with a federal diploma.
I’m not just interested in the figures, but also in our environment.
That’s why it made sense to set up a large animal welfare project and build a perfect team around Janine and myself.
Working together for the world of tomorrow is my motto at Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz.
Responsible for wildlife
As I grew up with a quasi-zoo, my ever-growing fascination and love for the animal world began at a very young age. I also learned very early on that this world is facing ever-increasing challenges from humans and that people are needed to counteract this, now more than ever.
Responsible for marketing
Through my many years of experience at CH Media, I got to know the team at Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz and was immediately impressed by the team’s enthusiasm for animal welfare.
Therefore, after long discussions with Janine and Michael, I decided to take over the marketing for animal welfare and use my skills for the benefit of the animals.
Responsible for the pets
I met Janine and Michael by chance during my HF Leadership and Management training.
As we all have a passion for animal welfare, I was immediately enthusiastic about taking animal protection to a new level.
Thanks to my broad network, we have already been able to save the lives of many animals and so I am ideally placed to get involved in animal welfare in Northwestern Switzerland.

A world that regulates itself remains in balance as long as it is not influenced from outside.
This is also the goal of Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz: to renaturalize the habitat of wild animals as much as possible.
Our animal keeper team consists of 5 animal keepers and 4 apprentices.
We would also like to thank our volunteers, who always have their hearts in the right place.
Igelhilfe Schweiz is an organization that maintains its own hedgehog station in Niedergösgen and is committed to saving hedgehogs and biodiversity throughout Switzerland, which is vital for a varied diet for hedgehogs and enormously important for the entire wildlife world.

Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz was founded in order to finally modernize animal welfare.
The money should benefit the animals and not pass between our hands.
So we put and in the main areas such as: Pets, wild animals and farm animals.
We have experts in all areas.
For pets, we rescue animals from bad situations and try to rehome them in the best possible way.
For wild animals, we work on various projects such as the search for fawns before they die at the combine harvester, and for farm animals, we check with the veterinary office and our legal department that everything is going well.

We look after found animals in our animal shelter area, which is rented in Niedergösgen.
We currently also have the right of first refusal to obtain a fixed portion.
However, we need more donations for this.
We work together with the Tierklinik Mittelland.
If an animal is in a stable condition, our animal carers will look after it.
Yes, we send out a newsletter about our latest project four times a year.
We start our prevention efforts with the next generation and raise awareness among children in school presentations and other events.
